dear diary,
thank you very much to elliot for his service to the country and the people not only of this country but of the whole world who all just want to live in freedom and in peace... maybe, it will take a long time and a lot of sacrfices on the part of people like elliot before all of us can again live in a world where we are not afraid of acts of violence and death such as those we are hearing about now and then... a world where we won't have to undergo searches and inspections both of our persons and our luggages at the airports when we travel... and when we can fly again without any apprehension that one of the passengers flying with us might have a bomb concealed in his person... when we can trust and have faith in each other again regardless of race, religion or political beliefs.. or nationality...
before 9/11 when we met someone or sent him off at the airport, we could be right there at the door through which the passengers disembark from the plane or board the same when leaving... this is the world we want to have again... and people like elliot are the ones who will make this world possible again... and they are the ones who really put their lives on the line so all of us can continue to hope that in the future that world will be here once more, if not for us, then for our children and grandchildren.. or their children and grandchildren forever... indeed, to elliot and all the others, our sincerest thanks and our debt of gratitude we may never be able to repay... but which we will never forget...ever..
in the meantime, welcome home... whether for good or for just the moment...
have a good day...and happy valentine's in advance... to you and all your loved ones...
regards,
bomboy
