andre's bday is may 5 also. i'm sorry i have not
been doing my job as recorder of the birthdays of the
members of the family of impo. in any case we wish elliot
a happy birthday too.
it is interesting to note that andre is also the name of
melding's son. melding is actually my kumare as she
stood as one of the principal sponsors at the baptism of
allan. when he had a fever when he was still a baby. i
remember melding giving him a bath to bring his
fever down which was a bit surprising to us then and maybe
even still now to some.
the mini reunion was to my mind a success. ate
mais,kuyang renee's wife, and the family of jun aberin
were the first to arrive. then came kuya winnie, joan, and
son joaquin, who we learned is already good at playing
tennis at his young age of seven. winnie even demonstrated
to me his serve. he will soon start learning to play golf,
if he has not already done so.
anyway, i thought no one else would be arriving
since they already started to eat but then kuyang
romy, linda, casey, wife and son, came, and then ate
zeny and lilia came with some members of the family, and
finally, linda and joren came. friends of allan and tess
alsol came. of course, ine wife of lannie with two sons mac
mac and rap rap and erning and baby, a niece of my wife
baby, actually helped in the preparations as they came three
days earlier.
i showed kuyang romy the picture of that mini reunion they
had at fairview with tia juana in attendance which i told
you about earlier. then kuyamg romy asked why he is not in
the picture because he said he recalls that he attended a
reunion in fairview too. we all told him that the one he
attended was the reunion we held in fairview when kuyang
ted, ate ine and cecile came home to be wedding sponsors of
net and benjie. the picture i showed him was clearly taken
after that reunion as shown by the fact that net's only
daughter tintin is in the picture. so the reunion was held
after the wedding.
then i showed them pictures taken during that reunion in
fairview which kuyang romy and linda attended. there was
this picture showing kuyang romy, sorcio. kuyang salvador
and myself together in one table having conversation. then
there was this p;icture showing kuyang romy and linda in a
table with other relatives and a son of ate zeny, totoy,
holding the mike and rendering a song. and also pictures of
kuyang salvador and ate zeny dancing. and of kuyang salvador
singing. and also of myself singing, and also dancing with
baby. also kuiyang ted dancing with relatives. there was
also a picture of kuyang ted, ate ine, cecile, amang, and
boy paulino and kuyang salvador in one table. and several
other pictures of family members together in one table or
just standing and having conversations. the pictures were
in an envelope sent by allan and tess from georgia to
caloocan. so, the pictures must have been taken from the
camera of allan and tess. kuyang romy
and ate zeny took one or two pictures each so they said
they could have some remembrance of that reunion.
we all noted though that we all forgot at the time to pose
for one group picture. so, we decided to have one such group
picture taken this time before anyone left.
still we failed to do so because kuyang
renee's family left already before we could have the
group picture taken. although, we also had a group picture
with kuyang renee's family in front of the house before
they left. and we had another group picture taken inside
with those who still stayed behind. so more or less, we will
have one picture or two of those who were in attendance.
i really wish there were who could come but some had
other appointments to keep or were out ot town. such a
short notice of the reunion was just not enough. but all in
all i think everyone had a pleasant time at the reunion.
before i forget, i gave kuyang romy the amount you said i
should give him.
i guess, this is all for now.

Andre' is the name of Melding's only child.
