there is a story about how my brothers and i got our names... when my oldest brother was born after my two elder sisters, my father was so excited that he named his new born son after him..."salvador"... he was called "junior", "baby" or "badong"...then came my other brother after another sister of mine...my father named him after my father's younger brother "teodoro"... that is why there are other "teodoro's" in the acejas family in capiz...then came my next brother, and my father named him after my father's other younger brother,..."jose"... he was called "pepito" or "joe" by his classmates, among whom were chu benedicto, your brother, and norvell lim and vertudez fonte...when i came, my father no longer had any brother to name me after, so he named me "silvestre" after my grandfather...my sisters were named by my father in terms of dawn, little rose and star...respectively... so my oldest sister is called "aurora", and my next sister,"rosina", and my third sister, "estrella"...this is how we all got hour names...
then my brother "salvador, named all his sons with names bearing the the name,"salvador," and some of his daughters with the name of my mother "florentina"...kuyang ted, or teodoro, who was a cpa, and married a lady with the family name of "paulino"... so they named their only son and daughters with names bearing the initials CPA...then kuyang pepito or joe also named his sons with names starting with "Jo" or "jose".... in my case, i named my two boys "albert" and "alvin" and my first daughter "ana gloria" and my second daughter "anna luisa"...all starting with the letter "A" because their mother's family name also starts with the letter "A" ate aurora gave her children "royal blood" names, like winston, edward, maria elizabeth, maria victoria, who are identical twins, and the youngest, albert valentino...my ate rosing, named her sons with names ending in the letter "O" o rhyme with their family name "costo", and her daughters after my mother, anita florentina, and after her own name, rose... i don't know how my ate ester named her children because we practically lost contact with each other after she left the philippines in 1960 to work as a nurse in the united states...
