dear millie,
my friendship with your mom and dad started when i joined the lim duran and associates law office maybe sometime in 1983... and i was with the law office until my wife and i came here to the USA in august of 1997... but our friendship of course did not end then and there as it still continues up to the present... when they lived in florida with mitchie, they never failed to send us christmas cards here in georgia... and they even visited us here when i just had my quadruple heart by-pass surgery...the whole family from florida in fact was with your mom and dad... it was very thoughtful of them to have made that visit...throughout the years, i was impressed by the way they raised such a closely knit family as yours, and by the love and care they gave each and everyone of you... and particularly, how they inculcated in you a deep sense of spirituality and dedication to your Church...they showed me what a happy marriage is and also how to have a happy family... the story how your dad and i bought our respective lots in pasig is in a sense one of the highlights of my association with your mom and dad, for that paved the way for our being neighbors there...at least, whenever, my wife and i go home for a visit there... and your mom and dad come for a visit from marinduque... my wife and i and my entire family join all of you in celebrating the golden wedding anniversary of augusto and myrna on july 24, 2010... and we are all very happy for them and for all their children and grandchildren...
i wanted to buy a card to express my greetings to your mom and dad on their golden wedding anniversary but i recalled that i have a song that i wrote sometime back which might well be a better way of expressing my happiness for both them and for all of you on that day....it is i think a song that your mom and dad could sing or recite to each other on that day... i revised it so it would be applicable to your mom and dad after 50 happy years of marriage... i hope this song is able to do justice to the relationship they have had the last 50 years.. and the one they will have the next 50 years...
